Hey there and welcome to my blog! I’m Emily, the creator and face behind Gamer in a Gown.
I currently live in Dallas, TX with my husband and work in the Advertising & Marketing industry.
But outside of my full-time career I have always held a passionate love for two things: video games and fashion. I had been searching for quite some time for authentic influencers who shared similar interests and after little success, I decided to launch my own blog.
My goal when creating Gamer in a Gown was to establish a resource that allowed me to not only share creative inspiration through fashion and day-to-day advice but also through actively diminishing the stereotypes that far too many women face within male-dominated hobbies and industries. You can love your brand new handbag and your Nintendo Switch equally, you can live in full-glam makeup and obsess over cars, and you can have a closet packed to the brim in the color pink and still be a sports fanatic.
About My Style
My style is difficult to define, but it can only be explained as edgy-chic with a quirky twist. I see myself as the opposite of a minimalist “jeans and a t-shirt” kind of girl; instead I feel my most comfortable in unique pants, fun prints, and statement earrings. I want fashion to feel fun and be seen as something not to be taken too seriously. After all, at the end of the day we are just a bunch of people playing dress-up.
I hope Gamer in a Gown helps to provide inspiration to you in some way, and thank you so much for your support!
